2009 - The power of Isometrics: Expression lines disappear in 30 days by training facial muscles 30 minutes a day

Aging of the face and neck is associated with skin, derma and muscles stress. Even if it is not genetically determined, the sustained contraction of superficial and deep facial muscles determine a faster deterioration of damaged skin and an impaired blood supply of derma. Isometric stretching and muscles exercise is recognized as the correct way to ease tensions and pain in muscles. It is widely used in sports medicine and pain control, but it has been completely neglected in Dentistry and Facial Aesthetics. Adapting isometric exercise to facial muscles leads to a very fast rebalancing and a disappearance of all lines associated with sustained muscle contraction.

Rebalancing and tonifying the deep and superficial muscles of the face using isometrics is the only scientifically based strategy to improve, protect and prevent the effects of time on the facial expression. Such approach should be the foundation of any further intervention like plastic surgery, botox or fillers.

Face, Head and Neck Rebalancing Program with MioBalance®

The 30 minutes presentation is intended to explain how to achieve and maintain balance and tonicity in the Face, Head and Neck Muscles using a specific passive exercise obtained wearing a new mouth device that uses isometric techniques. MioBalance® mouth device can relax the lines that stress and tiredness eventually mark on the face and neck. We can all experience once again our natural facial appearance and the unique feeling that brings with it of being alive and happy. Training with MioBalance® does not modify the features of the face. No anesthesia, needles, surgical, invasive or irreversible procedures are involved. It is free of pain and totally comfortable. Facial expression is improved but not changed, because no mass is added to muscles, simply tone and the return of your natural expressive face.

Benefits

• The Face, Head and Neck Rebalancing Bite called MioBalance® offers a natural and painless way to relax and rebalance the deep and superficial muscles of face, head and neck. It also trains certain facial muscles (lips, cheeks and tongue) to stretch and acquire extra tonicity.

• Expression lines in the face can become shallower or fainter, according to the quality of the skin (damaged skins will show least effects).

• The deep facial muscles can achieve a toning up that can give a fresher and rested look to the face.

• It is worn just up to 1 hour a day, also when involved in daily activities (with exclusion of those activities that full attention and may involve third people safety).

• The wearing of the bite does not interfere with oral hygiene habits.

Device Description

Face, Head and Neck Rebalancing Bite MioBalance®, developed by Prof Megighian at University of Florence, Italy, consists of a soft plastic removable custom manufactured mould that fits with the upper arch, to which two hard plastic wedges are attached.
