Lynette studied psychology and medicine at Cambridge University, England and completed her clinical studies at Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine in 1994. Dr. Yong subsequently worked in research at the Academic Department on Minimally Invasive Surgery at St. Mary's Hospital, London, before completing her post-graduate surgical specialization.

Dr. Yong is currently medical director at HB Health, the specialist clinic in Anti-Ageing Medicine in London; also is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England; a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M); member of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors; member of the British Homoeopathic Association & Faculty of Homoeopathy; and member of the Andropause Society UK.
