Dr Roger Elie Amar
Dr. Roger Elie Amar is a French plastic surgeon graduated from University of Paris France. He has been assistant professor in Anatomy and assistant professor in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Marseilles, France.
He is an active member of French societies: the French Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (SOF.CPRE) and French college of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was a founding member of the French society of aesthetic plastic surgery (SOFCEP).
Dr. Amar is an active member of the American Society for Aesthetic Surgery (ASAPS) and the Spanish Society of Aesthetic Plastic and reconstructive surgery (SECPRE).
He is the author of three medical books in MASSON Paris (in French), Reconstruction Mammaire 1978, ABC de Chirurgie Plastique et Esthétique 1981, Les Greffes de Peau- Biologie et Technique 1985.
From 1997, Dr. Roger Amar has developed the FAMI Technique (Fat Auto-Graft Muscle Injection) for facial rejuvenation. It was a total change in the classical concept of Fat injection with organic pan-facial rejuvenation at once. FAMI is offering longevity and predictability with grafts injected safely into the mimic muscles with adipose mesenchymal stem cells. After hundred of patients operated successfully and the progress of his own research on adipose stem cells the FAMI technique can challenge any invasive surgery of the men or women faces.
This procedure consists of an autograft of adult stem cells from the patient’s own fat in order to restore muscle and bone surfaces FAMI offers natural rejuvenation without scars, avoiding in many cases face-lifting and blepharoplasty.
FAMI can be used to correct physical muscular defects of the face or body.
Cell therapy for facial rejuvenation (F.A.M.I.) Fat autograft muscle injection
Background – Described by many authors, facial fat grafting has been largely limited to the subcutaneous plane with vague reference to injecting into the muscular planes. The technique FAMI specifically targets tissue planes and the individual muscles of facial expression to engraft adipose tissue and the mesenchymal cells within lipoaspirates.
Methods – case presentation selected from a 10-year experience of hundred of patients.
Results – Single, rarely two sessions of the FAMI technique resulted in marked improvement in facial volumes and contours.
Conclusions –The FAMI technique for pan-facial rejuvenation provides an improved method for restoring the atrophic effects of aging and has application for other defects caused by development, disease, and trauma
